last sunday, it was the feast of our patron, Sto. Nino. while everyone was getting ready to go to the streets and get wild, the gang was online playing gunbound. at first, it looked like we have no plans to go outside of jamestown. at around 3pm, daot gave me a ring and told me to proceed to his place. when i arrived, vior was already there, eating kropeks with jerick. then the bottles of red horse popped out from the fridge. it has started, i told myself. we finished everything up and went back to my crib and went straight to the shower.
after dinner, i found myself at vior's, waiting for everyone to come. daot went to ayala entertainment center with dj, doti, jingle, zoey, doti's high school peers, oca and dandel. at vior's mobile, it was me, manyak, hazel, honey, and 2 cases of red horse beer. daot went to the ayala entertainment center so we decided to follow. the traffic was so heavy, the city looked like a junkyard. the number of people was overwhelming. street parties are everywhere, from the rooftop, inside the building, at the backyard, it was everywhere.
when we arrive at the entertainment center, i was all sweat when i saw the mountain of people inside. getting inside was near impossible. as techno and trance beat was playing inside, party music filled the grounds of ayala. daot and his cohorts were at Bigby's so we went crowd surfing inside. we had a couple of pictures with the gang and we decided to go back outside and wait for everyone to finish. zoey was already crying and so they went home first as daot and jerick stayed.
just in front of Cafe Laguna, we opened the trunks and started drinking. as we were standing to catch a glimpse of the nearby concert, we saw tere and ralph walking down the street, they look like they don't know where to go and so we called them. they decided to hang out with us cuz we were having fun at the parking lot already. doti, dj, and her high school peers came back and our brother drex arrived. the parking lot is the rally point for the jamestown boys i guess. opal and his high school mates arrived too and had their drinks beside us. doti and her girl friends were drinking too. ricky boy and bibo arrived. they were kinda drunk and shortly, kew and jb came. jb was fucked up already. but we were still talking about the production and all that shit. jerick was sleeping already and bibo layed on the cement. we had a couple of funny scenes too. like oca urinating at the Lagoon, in front of dozens of people. that was the shiznit.
i hope fishes still swims on that lagoon as of this writing.
anyways, we finished everything up at 5am. as i arrive at my place, feeling contented with what we had for sinulog, i looked at the time.
it was 6:04am.
"next year na pud." i said to myself.
as my eyes slowly closed, i hear myself breathe and gasping for some sleep.
