the march

so i did not get to post for a few days. that's because it's Sinulog weekend! i was busy and all. so, let's start with...

saturday

my band is suppose to play at the SRA Anniversary Show but i decided to go with vior, bawing, bawing's girl, chuck, rapi and rage for the Sto. Nino march. and so, with bawing, bawing's girl and rage, we went straight to Colon. the march already started and so we butted ourselves in. it just started anyway so, yeah. rapi and chucky texted me where we are and they are way behind from us. so i told them to meet up at Jakosalem. and so they did. on the way, we saw sickass marty. he was standing at the side all alone so we yelled his name and he joined us with a smile bigger than the clown in el paso.

at around 5:30, we arrived at the Basilica De Sto. Nino after 4 hours of walking around metro cebu. the image of the sto. nino didn't arrived yet so we had tempura for our complaining stomachs. then we squeezed ourselves in the grandstand so we could have a great view of the image when it arrive and to have good positioning for the mass. we waited and waited and waited and waited. yup, we waited for 3 hours for the image to come. so we sat down at the ground, talking, laughing and all. with me, vior, chuck and rapi around, what else could you do but laugh. and so when the image of the sto. nino arrived, my eyes were filled with tears. i can see the neighboring buildings threw flowers for the sto. nino, some let go with the balloons they were holding. it was a beauty to watch and the loud cheers of the people was melody to my ears. and then after the image of sto. nino was brought back inside the church, marty said, "uli na ta na!" and we were like, "mangapil pa ta sa misa oi amaw!" little did we know that a priest was beside us. he told marty that the mass is the most important thing today or something like that. and then the priest saw rapi's pin on his backpack, an adolf hitler pin. he said something to rapi and marty said, "hala rapi! anti-christ man na!" the priest again turned to marty and told him to be careful with what he says. it was embarassing but funny. damn marty. damn rapi. damn adolf. anyways, the mass was opened with the angelic voices of the UC Chorus singing Hallelujia. i thought the moment of marty was the funniest of the day but late in the offering, as i gave something to offer, the old woman went to my side for vior and sudeenly i heard vior saying, "hoi chuck! e uli nang sibot!!!" i turned my head and i saw chucky holding the sibot and was the one collecting the donations. it was so funny. for me, at that time, chucky took the biggest slice of the cake for the day. but the day was so good, it have to perform its coup de grace. after mass, we walked straight to a Caltex station nearby to unload a gallon of urine and after that we walked back to Sun Gold for a ride home. and so we saw this empty jeepney and everybody was rushing towards it. luckily we got on first and looked at the fellow passengers. then two girls went up the jeep and then before they could take a seat, the driver rode on and i saw 2 guys running for our jeepney cuz they were not able to get on it. vior yelled, "nabiyaan ang uyab!!!!" then the two girls told the driver to stop but the driver was deaf to them. we were laughing so hard and we started to interview the girls. vior asked, "pila na man diay mo ka tuig ato imung uyab day?" i was about to ask them something funny but i can't stop laughing. the other passengers were also laughing and all.

ok, so we arrived in jamestown at around 11pm already. we had plans to go out but our knees were as strong as an 80 yr old. so we decided to just relax and chill at our lantay. and when chucky arrived, he got henna tattoos!!! yeah! so we applied tattoos on our sexiest part of our bodies. (which i will post it after i write this long shit).

saturday was a nice day. i did not have regrets with my decision to join the march. we're still young, we have a lot more shows to go this year but the march is only once a year. so that made sense. i wish next year, i will get to go to the march with lena. i want to share the nice experience i had with her around.
