the adventures of the gluttons

so i have been busy these past few weeks. vior and i have to help out at the Parish Renewal Experience Seminar. we are so happy that dodong and oca has joined and opened their hearts to the Lord. that is why i have abandoned this blog for a while. what kept me busy too was mau's arrival from manila. she have to gather data for her thesis and i went out to help her.

vior, bobby, oca and i were feasting on chinese dishes last night. Ding Qua Qua's eat all you can is just so amazing, it overwhelmed our digestive system. we were laughing at the table all the time because we could not consume the food that we had. we took a little rest and just slowly eating the fancy chinese food. siomai was of course, the greatest thing that china offered to the world. we made siomai look like little aspirins and we had so much of it, our teeth was burning all because of the friction. oca couldn't breathe anymore so we went outside and just stand there and stuff. i thought we were the only casualties of chinese food but i was wrong, another table near the buffet smelled like White Flower. that means the customer got dizzy and all that crazy shit. Ding Qua Qua was a silent killer.

we were so full, we don't want to smell food anymore.

we were talking and laughing at ourselves outside JY Square. after 15 minutes of just talking and standing, we were off to The Wine Shop. the wine shop was like a hospital for us gluttons. when we arrive at the shop, the aroma of the place was already a therapy. we ordered a 210 peso red wine. all we wanted to do is to burn the food inside our stomachs. 90% of the customers were koreans. they were there, chatting with their fellow koreans and luckily, they didn't get on oca's nerves, if they did, hell hath no wrath is all i can say. after 1 bottle of wine, we felt better and decided to get another one and another one.

lesson of the night? there is always something wrong with mass consumption.

red wine is all we need.

i will be checking in Rajah Park Hotel tonight. i will spend a night in that hotel and find a little peace and quiet in that room. watching late night TV and overlooking the city. oca expressed his interest to go with me. is this another brokeback mountain story?

yuck.

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo a while ago just declared that the nation is under State of Emergency. it will be another post so i will end it here. all i can say is, this is so much like People Power 2. as of now, a high ranking general in the military withdrew his support from the President. if the others will follow, we are all going down.

God bless this country.
