punk music is still alive

i got home at around 5:00am in the morning already. the night was filled with the punk spirit and Twinkle Dudu unleashed punk music like a hungry beast.

last night was Twinkle Dudu's album launching. i was there not as a fan but as a friend. a friend who saw their humble beginnings. with me to show support was bibo, kew and lyndon who was all over the place, walking around with their Red Horse bottle and eyeing for those vixens that arrive in Handuraw Events Cafe. i saw SRA guys too. no posers were on sight, all punks with ideals. there were no exaggerated punk fashion was at sight and a lot of emo kids.

our good friends of the band One Man Down was first to perform. we shared a couple of laughs and asked me when will be the Lasagna Surfers' launching. i told them that we still have a lot of songs to record. jb and i were together for almost the whole night. signing some autographs and all that rock star shit. we always find ourselves looking at each other and laugh after each signature he placed. old friends from USJ-R were there too and it was like a little reunion of the band's friends. it was such a great night. The Ambassadors performed and had a very good set that made the crowd wild. as the band that is holding the banner of punk music in cebu, The Ambassadors did what they do best, creating a moshpit on the floor. there were some guests bands which jb and the Twinkle Dudu guys didn't know but they were there performing because of Harakiri Mosh Productions. months before the launching, jb already told me that he wanted Guilt To Flow (kew's band) and Lasagna Surfers to perform but he just couldn't talk his way to the productions. i told him that it is all good and that we'll have our own time soon as the bands from Twinkle Records.

after the very successful launching, we went straight to Mango Square. we had a couple of bottles over there. the band, the Harakiri Mosh girls, and some friends were there. kew was very pissed of some people whom he call "sawsaw". jb always try to find his eyes on us and asked if we were alright, he also made sure we still have bottles to drown. another friend, gary gar was stuck with me and kew. he said he just want to hear my stories and all. the three of us were always laughing and at one point, errol's girl that night almost transferred to our table. good thing errol was alert and took her back to our table and gave me that look.

i also thought about jb's one and only, mai mai. she should have been there. being the girl that witnessed almost all gigs of the band, she should be there. sad to say, she is working her little butt in abu dhabi right now. for future purposes i'm sure.

hehehe.

as i was sitting there, i suddenly wondered what is happening in manila at that time. do we still have a president? did the coup de etat destroyed everything? i didn't know. when i arrive, i turned on the TV to check out the news. luckily, there were no live news. that means the extreme left is unsuccessful in making this country miserable.
